S’EXPRESS ORIGINAL MECHAMIX – THE OFFICIAL MECHANISM PODCAST

In 1988 the music scene was rapidly changing especially in the UK where the rave and acid house scenes were beginning to really take off. One of the most commercially successful acid house/dance acts of the time was DJ and producer Mark Moore, who under the guise of S’EXPRESS smashed the charts apart with the anthem THEME FROM S’EXPRESS. This was quickly followed by 2 more hits SUPERFLY GUY and HEY MUSIC LOVER. The debut album ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK soon followed and featured what many consider to be the very first electronic ambient dance track (COMA 2 A.M./O.K.). Produced by Pascal Gabriel who also worked with Bomb The Bass, Erasure, Debbie Harry, Soft Cell and Yello, the dancefloor friendly album was a huge success and helped propel sample heavy dance and acid house music into the 1990s.
